Featuring
Silky - Headliner
Liverpudlian-in-exile Silky has been a full time comedian since 1997 – his press quotes say it all…….
‘Silky was upsettingly funny, biting without alienating the audience… left me with aching stomach muscles, teary eyes and a need to buy more anti-wrinkle cream for the laughter lines around my eyes.’ – BBC Online
‘A central figure on the UK comedy circuit. Come see the funny man, find out for yourselves.’ – Evening Chronicle (Newcastle)
‘Officially one of the loveliest comics on the circuit’ – Motion Magazine
‘Skilful and entertaining… Silky’s audience banter is sans pareil’ – Time Out
Pete Jonas - Support
Pete Jonas moved to London from Melbourne to continue a promising marketing career. Instead, he found himself unable to contain the increasing number of wise cracks in his head and a desire to rant about things from the stage.
His 2006 Edinburgh show, Brokeback Britain, was totally sold out and received 4-star reviews. His 2010 show, Dark Side of the Poon, was “one of the most talked about shows at the Edinburgh Fringe” (getcomedy.com)
“A sleek, professional act… the pace, emphasis and rhythm of his delivery is spot-on. A rock-solid act guaranteed to entertain.” Chortle
El Baldiniho - Newcomer
Magician “EL Baldiniho” has toured regularly around Southern England performing theatre shows for children and family audiences.
However, due to an unpaid debt with a bookmaker, he is currently augmenting his career with a parallel one – that of a stand-up comedian, performing magic and comedy for adults.
“El Baldiniho” brings magic, mindreading, audience interaction, comic routines and 2O stone of sweating bulk onto any stage.
An entertaining, warm character with laugh-out-loud material and strong magic effects.
“Entertained a packed audience at the Festival club…. a fun filled sold-out success” Canterbury Festival 2011
Jason Mannion, the comedy actor behind EL Baldiniho, appeared regularly on John Bishops Britain (BBC1 , 5 episodes) and the Mad Bad Ad Show (Channel 4)
Mark Simmons - Compere
Mark Simmons is an emerging new talent on the comedy scene. Having the misfortune to come from Sellindge in Kent he has done well to find his way onto the circuit from deepest, darkest Kent. In 2009 Mark made the finals of the Amused Moose and So, you think you are funny? Competitions at the Edinburgh fringe and performed a show every day at the Festival. He has grown into an accomplished act and establishes a great rapport with the audience.
“Fantastic” – Tim Vine
“One of the best young acts on the circuit” – Lonestar
